Sharp Printing EL-1750V Editorial Review
The Sharp EL-1750V adding machine is a well-regarded device among users who appreciate its functionality and compact design, particularly for those who are retired or have limited desk space. Customers have praised the calculator for its excellent key spacing, clear display, and the convenience of using either battery or plug-in power. The digits are highly readable, with users noting their large size and favorable contrast, which reduces glare even in brightly lit environments. Features like the clock and date functionality also add to its appeal, making it more than just a basic adding machine. While some users did experience a learning curve due to the unique layout of the keys, most were quick to adapt and found the overall design intuitive for everyday accounting tasks. The criticism regarding the method for performing subtractions—where users enter a number, follow it with a plus sign, and then input the number to be subtracted—was mentioned. However, users familiar with business calculators seem to find this method logical once they adjust their thinking. In addition, several reviewers highlighted the machine's portability and lightweight design, which made it easy to use anywhere. One notable aspect of customer feedback was the outstanding customer service provided by the vendor, with many noting responsive communication and support during the return process, enhancing their overall shopping experience. On the downside, a few users reported discomfort with the raised keys compared to their previous calculators; however, this seems to be more about personal preference than a fault with the machine itself. Some noted that the noise level during printing could be a drawback, although the quality and value of the machine were widely recognized. In summary, the Sharp EL-1750V is a versatile, user-friendly addition machine praised for its compact size, clear display, and impressive functionality, making it an excellent choice for small office setups or personal use. **
