How does the harmonic damper pulley puller work?

The harmonic damper pulley puller operates by using a mechanical advantage to grip and pull the damper pulley from the crankshaft. By attaching the puller's arms to the pulley, a central bolt is turned that applies force evenly across the pulley, allowing for a smooth removal without damaging other engine components. This is crucial as improper removal can lead to increased wear or damage to the crankshaft and damper, making the use of this tool essential for proper maintenance practices in automotive work.
