The trunk is made of fabric over cardboard, making it sturdy but not suitable for sitting on. The trunk is a nice size, comparable to wooden ones, but being cardboard, it may not last long – a customer reported it starting to crumble after 9 months. The overall recommendation is for children under 5, as older kids may be better off with a more durable wooden trunk and bin organizer. Unfortunately, the big storage case is not available for separate purchase, as the set comes as a whole. Overall, the LOL Surprise Storage Set provides a cute and fun storage solution for younger children who enjoy the LOL Surprise theme.
