Italian Editorial Review
**Editorial Review of The Divine Comedy Paperback** The Divine Comedy from Canterbury Classics emerges as a visually stunning collectible that combines exquisite craftsmanship with a classic literary masterpiece. With its striking leather-bound cover, gilded edges, and high-quality interior paper, this edition is not just a book but a statement piece for any bookshelf. Priced under $30, it offers remarkable value Considering the quality of materials and aesthetics. However, opinions diverge on the choice of translation. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's version is criticized for its antiquated language that may pose challenges for novice readers. Many reviewers suggest this translation might not be the best starting point for those unfamiliar with Dante's work, as it often necessitates supplemental resources like dictionaries or online guides to fully comprehend the cantos. For experienced readers or collectors, this version shines as an artful keepsake rather than just a reading experience. While some users noted minor imperfections, such as slightly crooked cover paper and pages that may stick together, these were often viewed as quibbles not detracting from the overall quality of the product. The tassel feature was particularly praised for adding a special touch, enhancing its presentational charm. Overall, The Divine Comedy by Canterbury Classics is recommended primarily for collectors or those who appreciate beautiful book design rather than as an accessible entry point for first-time readers of Dante's work. **
