Respuesta: If you're referring to cutting with a torch or plasma cutter the 3.0 works fine for me. All depends on your sensitivity. I prefer the lighter shaded hood. -

Most customers found the shade to be appropriate for most activities but recommended a shade 5.0 for gas welding. The lens scratches easily, so it is essential to be careful when cleaning it. A few customers received a clear lens instead of the shade 3.0 they ordered.
