United States Editorial Review
The reception of "Bluets" by Maggie Nelson has been overwhelmingly positive, with readers praising the book as a compelling and thought-provoking read. The combination of lyrical and essayistic writing has been particularly lauded, with many readers noting that Nelson successfully defamiliarizes the common associations with the color blue, offering varied and profound meanings. The book has been described as a sensory symphony of blue, with some readers likening it to walking through a wonderful art gallery. The intentional and well-crafted writing, at times evoking a poetic feel, has been highlighted as a major strength of the book. However, there have been complaints about the kindle format, with some readers expressing frustration over formatting issues in the Kindle version, making the book difficult to read and navigate. Overall, "Bluets" has been hailed as art in words and as a deeply meaningful and enriching read, with its poetic and thought-provoking narrative offering a unique and captivating experience for those who appreciate deeper meanings and insightful Prose.
