The F2 Essentials Water Filter System is a small, easy-to-install water filtration system that has been around since 1994. Its filter cartridges are not expensive and they have an extra layer of pre-filtration material before the water enters packed activated carbon, removing any chlorine taste. Compared to Brita, the main difference is that this product is run by water pressure whereas the Brita is gravity fed. Its low cost as compared to multistage water filtration systems makes it an attractive option. The red light indicates the need to change the filter. This product has received mixed reviews. While some customers are pleased with its performance, others have experienced issues such as leaking and difficulty in fitting to taps.
