The Nektar Pacer is a USB MIDI footswitch controller that works well with Ableton Live and other MIDI-compatible devices. It can be programmed to send multiple messages and execute multiple MIDI commands with each button click. While it has a big learning curve and a fiddly interface, it is sturdy and of high quality. It also has customizable LED lights and footswitches. However, some customers have experienced issues with the product being sold as used or not having a software editor. The top-left switch is not programmable and it is not well integrated with Ableton Live. Despite these issues, customers have praised the Nektar Pacer for its solid, quiet, and programmable reliability.
