About This Item
Introducing the Evolution Aqua Eazypod Automatic Self-Cleaning Pond Filtration System, the ultimate solution for maintaining a clean and healthy pond with minimal effort. This innovative filtration system combines mechanical and biological filtration with automatic self-cleaning technology. The EazyPod utilizes K1 Micro, a specially engineered media, to provide both effective mechanical waste filtration as well as biological filtration, ensuring crystal clear water in your pond. Wondering how the Eazypod Automatic works? It's simple.
The water from your pond enters the EazyPod through the inlet, where it flows around the outer chamber. As it passes through the stainless steel grill, larger solids are filtered out and settle at the base of the outer chamber. The remaining water then moves into the central chamber, where finer solids become trapped in the K1 Micro media.
But that's not all. As bio-films build up on the protected surface of the K1 Micro media, biological filtration takes place. The clean water then rises and overflows into the inner return pipe, and flows back into your pond via the outlet.
This continuous cycle ensures that your pond remains clean and clear. The Eazypod Automatic also comes with a convenient cleaning feature. It includes an integrated control box with an adjustable timer, allowing you to plan the cleaning time according to your schedule. The default cleaning time is every 3 days, but you have the flexibility to adjust it as needed.
This automated system powers the waste valve and an included air pump, which cleans the K1 Micro media. The air pump agitates the filter media, freeing up any debris and waste that has accumulated within the filter. This waste is then ejected through the 1.5-inch waste valve. The Evolution Aqua Eazypod is an impressive self-cleaning pond filtration system. It should be pump fed and does not include its own pump. The system comes with a place to plug in a pump, a separate plug for the UV light, and an integrated air pump. The Eazypod comes in five configurations, all of which include the K1 Micro Media. The maximum recommended pump size for this filter is 2640 gph. You can use a 3-inch outlet with flexible tubing to return water to the pond.
