Lee's Filters 13405 Editorial Review
The Lee's Triple-Flow Corner Filter, Small is a budget-friendly tank filter that offers customizable mechanical and biological filtration. It works well in smaller tanks, such as a 10-gallon aquarium, and is suitable for small fish and baby fish. The filter's design allows for water flow from the bottom to the top and back down through the media, ensuring effective filtration. One of the key advantages of this filter is its versatility. Users can use a variety of filtration materials, such as polyfill, matrix, or sponge, to meet their specific needs. It can be used for a variety of aquatic animals, including firebelly newts and axolotls, without creating a strong current in the water. The filter includes a disposable air stone that moves a lot of water, but users may want to order extras to have on hand. However, there are some drawbacks to Consider. The filter's plastic Construction is quite thin and fragile, making it prone to cracking and breaking. Some users have experienced issues with the plastic prongs breaking or the bottom of the filter cracking. It's important to handle the filter with care to avoid damage. Additionally, the filter may need to be anchored down to prevent it from floating, despite having the base buried in the substrate. In summary, the Lee's Triple-Flow Corner Filter, Small offers a cost-effective solution for tank filtration. It allows for customizable filtration and works well in smaller tanks. However, users should be cautious with the fragile plastic Construction and may need to anchor the filter down to prevent it from floating.
