The Garmin Edge 520 Plus has been designed primarily for competitive cyclists who want detailed information on their performance and navigation. It comes with two mounts, one being an out-front bracket that is placed in front of the handlebars. The other mount is suitable for attaching the unit to any part of the bike. The GPS cycling/bike computer can upload rides to both Garmin and Strava using Bluetooth, but sometimes there may be issues with connectivity. The device also pairs with the Varia system and alerts the cyclist of rear-approaching cars with audible beeps. Heart rate information can be broadcast from a Garmin Vivoactive 3 watch to the Edge easily. The unit does not come with its own charger, but it can be charged using any USB port style charger or even a power bank. It is compatible with maps and turn-by-turn navigation, which can be preloaded using the Garmin Connect app on a computer.
