The Koyo VH060245 is an aluminum radiator designed as a direct OEM replacement for a 1989-1997 Mazda MX-5 Miata 1.6/1.8L with a manual transmission. The radiator is beautifully made and easy to install with no modifications necessary. One customer experienced a cracked weld but was quickly refunded and ordered another one. The radiator's volume is higher than the original one, requiring around 1.5 gallons to fill. According to customers, this radiator resolves overheating issues, and it's perfect if you love pushing your Miata to the limit. However, a separate transmission oil cooler is required for automatic transmission, and the bushings and bottom rubber mounting pegs from your original radiator need to be transferred over to your Koyorad. Reseal the plug near the upper radiator hose to prevent it from weeping a little coolant after shutdown.
