Comedy Editorial Review
Mon pere ce heros is a charming French comedy directed by Gerard Lauzier that explores the relationship between a single father and his daughter, showcasing impressive performances from actors like Gerard Depardieu and Marie Gillain. While the film itself is a delightful experience, the DVD release leaves much to be desired, particularly for English-speaking audiences since there are no English subtitles or dubbed tracks available. The DVD menu design is quite basic and the overall packaging appears low quality, leading to a sense that little effort was made in remastering the film for home viewing. This charming film remains beloved but the DVD's shortcomings might disappoint those unfamiliar with French.
