What is the WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch used for?

The WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch is primarily used to regulate and monitor pressure levels in various applications, including automotive and industrial systems. This switch can activate or deactivate a connected device when the pressure reaches a certain threshold. It's especially useful for air compressors, pumps, and pneumatic systems, ensuring they function efficiently without manual intervention.

What are the key specifications of the WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch?

The WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch features a 1/8" NPT pipe thread, allowing for easy connection to standard piping. It is designed to operate within a specific pressure range, which can vary based on the model, providing reliable activation for high or low-pressure applications. The robust construction ensures durability even in demanding environments, making it a versatile choice for both professional and DIY uses.

How does the WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch work?

The WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch functions by utilizing a diaphragm that moves in response to pressure changes in the connected system. When the pressure exceeds or drops below a preset level, the switch activates or deactivates an electrical circuit. This mechanism prevents overpressure conditions and ensures optimal system performance, making it essential for applications where pressure control is critical.

Is the WOLO PS-1 suitable for automotive applications?

Yes, the WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch is highly suitable for automotive applications. It can be used in vehicles to monitor pressure in air systems, effectively helping to manage the operation of air horns and other pneumatic components. Can the WOLO PS-1 be used with any type of fluid?

While the WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch is versatile, it is important to ensure that it is compatible with the specific type of fluid in your system. It is primarily designed for air and gas applications. If used with liquids, ensure they are non-corrosive and compatible with the materials of the switch, so as to avoid damage and maintain functionality.

What installation requirements are there for the WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch?

Installing the WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch requires a standard 1/8" NPT pipe thread connection. Ensure that the mounting surface is clean and secure for optimum performance. It's important to consult the specific installation guidelines in the product manual to ensure a proper fit and function, as well as to prevent leaks and ensure accurate pressure readings.

How can I adjust the pressure setting on the WOLO PS-1?

To adjust the pressure setting on the WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch, locate the adjustment screw usually positioned on the side of the unit. By turning the screw clockwise or counterclockwise, you can increase or decrease the set pressure threshold. It's advisable to make small adjustments and test the switch in the application, ensuring it activates as required without exceeding the desired pressure limits.

What are typical applications for the WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch?

The WOLO PS-1 Pressure Switch is commonly used in various applications, such as air compressors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic tools, and even in industrial automation. It helps ensure that pressure levels remain stable, enhancing safety and performance.
