Answer: I have a waterbox 170 pro and got 2 1950 3 month ago and they weren’t as powerful, used them for the cycle period and then got 2 echotech mp/40 i got does running opposite and the 2 hydor on the back. -

Answer: I think 2 x 1350's would work nice. You could go extra flow with the 1950, but 1350's for mixed reef I think would be pretty nice. -

Answer: I’m sorry that there is no clear cut answer without knowing more about your tank...with a 55 gal I would think that one would be plenty...it really depends on what you are trying to accomplish...one of this size might actually be too much...they do sell smaller models and they are very reasonably priced for what you get. They are quiet and strong. -

Do these pumps click when the turn on and off when they are connected to wave maker like earlier models did?
Answer: They do not. These are dead quiet, more streamlined, and better all around. -

Answer: No, and I’m not sure why you would want a power head in reverse??
