The Presto 01784 Induction Compatible Pressure Canner is designed for both canning and cooking, with several recipes included in the manual. Users can contact Presto's Customer Service Department for canning questions, as well as product concerns. The pressure canner has a steam dial pressure gauge with a regulator weighted at 15 PSI. Although half gallon jars are not recommended, users can safely process tested recipes in quart, pint, and half pint jars. The pressure canner is compatible with electric coil, indoor gas ranges that have less than 12,000 BTUs, and glass- or smooth-top ranges. However, portable induction cooktops may not be suitable, and outdoor LP gas burners with more than 12,000 BTUs are strongly discouraged due to potential damage to the bottom of the canner.
