The Imaging World Microphones & Accessories 7545901977 Editorial Review
The Cloud Microphones Cloudlifter CL-1 Mic Activator is a small line-level boosting microphone preamp capable of providing up to +25 dB of clean gain to dynamic and passive ribbon microphones. Customers have reported that it is effective in eliminating background noise and reducing the need for excessive gain, which leads to less feedback. However, while the product itself works well, there were some issues with the additional accessories bundled with it. Customers have reported that the included XLR cables were poor quality with very tight receptacles, which made it difficult to properly seat them, and possibly even caused damage to their equipment. Overall, the Cloud Microphones Cloudlifter CL-1 Mic Activator is a good product for stationary setups, providing clean gain and eliminating background noise for dynamic and passive ribbon microphones. However, if purchasing the bundle with additional accessories, it is recommended to use your own XLR cables or buy them separately as the included ones are of poor quality.
